SC236 May Hope Sustain You

SC236-May-Hope-Sustain-You_

Hi everyone!  I made this card for today's sketch challenge on SCS, SC236.  I paired the sketch with a newly released set from Verve called Forever In Our Hearts, and A Walk In The Park DP from Stampin' Up!  I stamped the main image leaves in Kiwi Kiss ink and the sentiment in Basic Gray.  I layered it with Kiwi Kiss and Basic Gray cardstock.  It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but I added some score lines on the top and bottom portion of the Basic Gray layer with my Scor-Pal.  The brads are from American Crafts (Thanks, Jodi!) and the ribbon is Fresh Snow Twill from Papertrey!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm off to my DD's swim meet!

Prettie Moving Challenge

Prettie-Movin'-Wednesday_JP

Hi everyone!  Two weeks ago Jana challenged the Prettie girls to a MOVING challenge.  We could interpret "Moving" however we wanted.  I guess you can tell how I interpreted it (grin)!  I used the set Home Sweet Home from Fat Cat Stamps.  I colored the moving van in with Copic markers.  I'm not sure that big bow goes with the theme of the card, but I felt the card needed something else and I reached for the ribbon.  I have NEVER tied a bow like that all by myself (I always ask for bow tying assistance from the girls or DH) and I was so proud of myself that I had to leave it!!  Goofy, I know, but true!  Ribbon and I have a love/hate relationship.  I love to look at it but I hate it when I'm trying to tie it on a card.....

Don't forget to check out what the other Prettie's did with this challenge!

Kindred Sweet Sunday Sketch #23

Kindred-Sweet-Sunday-Sketch

Hi everyone!  Over the weekend I took a little "me" time and made this card.  I was blog surfing and came across this fabulous sketch on Karen Giron's Blog.  Karen hosts what she calls the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge every Sunday so if you are a sketch lover like myself don't forget to pay Karen a little visit!  This particular sketch is from a few weeks ago.  I thought the new Verve set, Kindred Spirits would be perfect for the five squares.  I stamped the fleur de lis from the set five times in Pure Poppy ink on PTI White cardstock and puched them out with a 1" square punch.  I used square Nestabilities for the black scallop squares behind the main images.  The ribbon and button are from Papertrey and the pearls were a gift from my friend, Julee Tilman!  Thanks, Julee!  The finished card is 3 1/4 x 6 1/2.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day!

Clean and Simple Challenge #22

Cas22-Damask-BDAY

Hi everyone!  Last night before I went to bed I had the itch to stamp so I went to SCS and found that the Clean and Simple challenge had been posted and decided to give it a try. The challenge was to make a clean and simple birthday card....easy!  Can you believe this card only took me about 15 minutes?  I could make cards all day if they only took 15 minutes!  My husband couldn't believe it because I normally take a couple hours to commit to a card!

I found the layout and the color combo on the Clean and Simple blog.  Don't these colors look great together?  This is also the first time I've inked up the Damask Designs set from Papertrey, but it certainly won't be the last!  I won't go into detail as it's pretty self explanatory!

I hope you have a wonderful day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Charmaine's Birthday Blog Hop!

Charmaine's-Blog-Hop-Birthd  Hi everyone and welcome to Charmaine's Birthday Blog Hop!  If you arrived here from the oh so talented Christi's blog then you're in the right place.  If you're wondering where the hop started then go back to the beginning to the fabulous Jodi's blog.

Every party needs a little food so I decided to bring.....FRUIT!!  LOL!  Where's the fruit you wonder?  Well, it's on Chica Sophia's very stylish headress!!  SNORT!  I couldn't resist using Hola Chica Sophia for Charmaine's card....I'm sure she'll love it!  Sophia was colored with Copic markers and I added some piercing for interest.  The sketch is Jen del Muro's Sketch For You to Try.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Papertrey and the "Chica" portion is just a part of the sentiment from the Hola Chica set, I just masked the "Hola" part off!  The DP is from the yummy Citrus Stack by Die Cuts With a View.

This is actually the present I brought....I hope she likes it!!  If not then she can return them to ME!!  SNORT!

Cosmocoloured

Happy Birthday, Charmaine!!  I hope your day is FABULOUS!

Your next and last stop on this birthday hop is to the Birthday Girl's blog!!  Head on over there to leave Charmaine some birthday wishes!!

Unity Guest Designer Challenge....

Hi everyone!  I finally got to sit down and stamp!!  Woohoo!  We were on vacation last week (had my Verve posts scheduled) in GORGEOUS Lake Tahoe and since we got back I have had a serious problem getting my own time to create!  It's always crazy in the summer with my girls home.  The computer is on my desk in my craft area so if one of them is on, I can't stamp....which seems to be all the time lately!  Anywho...we had a great vacation with beautiful weather and some great family time but it is always good to be home!

About a week before I left for vacation I received the Unity Stamps June Kit of the Month.  I had been eyeing the Kit of the Month club for awhile and finally took the plunge and signed up.  If you haven't ever tried Unity's stamps, YOU MUST!  The are deeply etched red rubber that stamp BEAUTIFULLY!  Anywho...I will get off my enabling pedestal and get on to the real reason you are here....

I decided to enter the Unity Guest Designer Challenge going on right now in the Unity Forum.  Both of my cards use the sketch designed for the challenge.

USGD03-Cherry-On-Top_JP

I love the cherry stamp from this kit and the sentiment is perfect!  The cherries are stamped on PTI White, cut out and popped up on dimensionals.

USGD03-Such-a-Treat_JP

I took a little more liberty with the sketch on this card.  The ice cream cone in this kit is awesome and isn't the sentiment so cute?

Well, thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a GREAT day!

Prettie Wednesday

Prettie-Storytime-Wednesday

Hi everyone!  Two weeks ago Charmaine challenged the Prettie girls to use the masking technique on our cards.  I used the new Stamp of the Month for August, Storytime Sophia.  OH MY WORD....isn't she so cute?  My youngest DD, Sarah, loves to read and this new Sophia reminds me of her!!

Here are some details:  I colored Sophia in with Copic markers and framed her in Nestabilities.  I masked her off and sponged some Baja Breeze ink all around her before removing her from the die.  The chocolate background was scored in a diamond pattern with my Scor-Pal, as was the two embossed lines on the white base at the bottom of the card.  The border was punched with the Eyelet border punch.  The sentiment was punched out with the large oval and scallop oval punch.  The brads were a gift from my pal, Jodi and the ribbon is from May Arts!

Don't forget to check out all my other Prettie's did with this challenge!!

Verve Sneak Peek...Forever In Our Hearts

Verve-Forever-In-Our-Hearts

Hi everyone!  This is the third and last day of sneak peeks for Verve.  The set I'm showing you today is a BEAUTIFUL sympathy set called Forever In Our Hearts.  Sympathy cards are not something that I keep on hand, but struggle to make when the time arises.  The images and sentiments in this set are so serene and peaceful and make it easy to pull a card together.

For this card I started out with Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try.  The dp is Parisian Breeze from Stampin' Up!  I stamped the sentiment in Dark Chocolate (PTI) and over stamped the leaves in Baja Breeze classic (SU!)  The image was then framed in circle Nestabilities.  The large Baja circle was embossed with the Dots and Diamonds embossing folder (QuiKutz) using my Cuttlebug.  I added some free handed piercing around that same circle.  I finshed the card off with two brads from American Crafts and some chocolate polka dot ribbon (SU!)

Verve's Release Party is tonight at 9pm EST in the Verve Forum on Splitcoaststampers.  The full sets will be revealed and will be available for purchase at 11:00pm EST.  Hope to see you there!

Don't forget to check out the sneak peeks of this set on the Verve Blog!!

Have a great day!  Thank you for stopping by!

Another Verve Peek....Just For You

Verve-Just-For-You-PV_JP

Hi everyone!  It's day two of Verve sneak peeks and today I'm sharing a card I made with a new set called Just For You.  Again, what can I say, another beautiful Verve set!!   I hope you can join us at the Verve release party on Friday night, June 26th, starting at 9:00PM EST in the Verve Forum on Splitcoaststampers.   The party is fast paced, full of sneak peeks from the Verve Diva's and a lot of chatting...you may even meet Mr. Verve.....that's right, Julee's husband, Mark, aka Mr. Verve, even attends and believe me, he can hold his own with all of the Verve crazed women!!  LOL!  Hope to see you there!

For my card I used the sketch VSJun04 from the Verve Release Week Challenges.  I stamped the main image in Memento Black ink on PTI White and framed it in circle Nestabilities.  The DP is Tea Party from Stampin' Up!  I just love this DP...so fresh and summery!  I added a little machine stitching and some ribbon and brads and I was done!  A pretty quick card for me!!

Don't forget to check out the Verve Blog for some more peeks at this beautiful new set!!

Have a great day!  Thank you for stopping by!!

Verve Sneak Peek...Kindred Spirits

Verve-Kindred-Spirits-PV_JP

Hi everyone!  Today I'm sharing with you a sneak peek at a new Verve set that is being released this Friday night, June 26th.    We will be partying it up in the Verve Forum on Splitcoaststampers starting at 9PM EST!  The release parties are such a blast, so I hope you can join us!!

The set I used on this card is called Kindred Spirits.  This set is so gorgeous!  If you love the Fluer die Lis images then this set is for you!!  I stamped the main image in Cameo Coral Craft ink on PTI White and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  It was framed in Oval Nestabilites and I added a some free handed piercing around the main image with a mat pack and piercing tool.  The DSP is Raspberry Tart by SU!.  The back panel of Rose Red DSP was embossed with the Dots And Diamonds embossing folder by QuiKutz.  I used my new Fleur de Lis edge punch (EK Success) across the white cardstock.  If you have this punch, it's PERFECT with this set!  The sentiment was cut out with a Spellbinders Tag Die.  The beautiful white satin ribbon is from SU!

The sneak peeks have begun today on the Verve blog, so don't forget to check them out!  I know I will be!!

I hope you have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Prettie Monday, CAS20, FTL47

CAS20-What's-Brewing_JP

Hi everyone!  Can you tell I'm really digging the Clean and Simple lately?  I have a SUPER CRAZY week so I really love taking the pressure off of myself to design a card that takes hours by using the CAS challenges that are all over the blogging world!

I used a very neglected set from Paper Pretties called Look Who's Perky?  I also used two challenges to make this card:  today's Clean and Simple challenge from Splitcoaststampers to use the paper piecing technique on  your card and Fall To Layout #47 from the Clean and Simple Blog.  The hardest part of this card was deciding what colors to use!  The teapot is paper pieced with DP from Papertrey called Friends 'Til The End.  It was framed in Nestabilities.  The Hibuscus Burst scallop border was done with a scallop edge punch.

Important news from the Paper Pretties blog, The Paper Clip:

This week marks the beginning of something super fun here at The Paper Clip!! Each month, the four cards chosen as the Prettie Card of the Week will be entered into a contest and the winner will receive a $5.00 Gift Certificate to the Prettie Boutique!! Now, just like Lotto, you have got to be in it to win it! So, if you want a shot at having the Prettie Card of the Week, and the chance to win the $5.00 Gift Certificate, you MUST upload your card to the Paper Pretties Gallery! If I can't find your card I cannot choose you as the Prettie Card of the Week right? LOL!! If you are not currently registered at Paper Pretties, click HERE right now and sign up! It is SUPER easy to navigate! I cannot WAIT to see all of your cards! Good luck everyone!!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Happy Father's Day

DH's-FDCard_JP

Hi everyone!  I just wanted to quickly share with you two cards I made for Father's Day.  This first card is for my hubby.  When I saw Taylor's new set, Boys Will Be Boys I HAD to get it just for this image and one other image in the set (boots) because my DH is a Lineman for a power company here in California and he wears a toolbelt like this when he is climbing those tall poles.  I know he'll get a kick out of it!  The sketch is this weekend's Cupcake Sketch from Taylor, TECC73.

FIL-Father's-Day-Card_JP

This next card was made for my Father-in-law using the same set.  I have the GREATEST Father-in-law and he loves when I make him homemade cards.  Makes me feel good because he and my Mother-in-law keep all of the cards I make on display for LOOOOOONG periods of time!!

Little-Stella-and-Daddy_JP  I'll leave you with this adorable picture of one of our favorite children, Stella!  LOL!  If you're wondering what she is doing here, she is laying on Frank's legs while he takes a nap!  Did you see her collar?  It's an Oakland A's collar.  She used to have a really cute pink camo collar but she grew out of it and this is what DH bought her....SIGH!!  I don't think DH would be too happy if he knew his feet were on display for the blogging world to see!!  Hehe!!

Have a great Sunday!!

Clean and Simple Saturday

 CAS-FTL47-_JP

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!  This is going to be a really quick post this morning!  I have been inspired lately by my good friend, Becky, and all of her awesome Clean and Simple cards.  I have a hard time with CAS but decided I'm going to try it once a week!  I used the Fall to Layout #46 from the Clean and Simple Blog for this card.  My white gel pen was a little wacky, but I really like this card and it only took about 10 minutes to make....an earth shattering record breaker in my book!!  LOL!  For those that know me it takes me hours to make just one card!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

TECC73 Hip Hop Hangover

 TECC73-HHHangover_JP

It's Friday and that means it's time for another of Taylor's Cupcake Sketches!  I combined this week's sketch with Unity's Hip Hop Hangover blog hop!  While I technically do not have a "Hip Hop Hangover" as I was not able to "Hip Hop" yesterday,  I couldn't wait to break in my new Unity set, Bevy of Butterflies.  This is the most incredible set, but unfortunately it's not available for sale right now.   It is a FREE (yes, I said free) set that you get if you are a NEW Kit of the Month subscriber in June.  This set is HUGE!  I no longer lack any butterfly stamps...that's how huge this set is!  But I digress...

Don't you love this sketch?  It was so easy to work with and will definitely be used again by me!  The DP is the retired Haiku by Stampin' Up!  The Tangering Tango panel was embossed with the Dots and Diamonds embossing folder by Quickutz.  Brads are Old Olive by SU! and all of the piercing was done with a mat pack and piercing tool.

TECC73 Now it's your turn to try the sketch.  Taylor will choose the most clever, creative and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week.  Your design and blog will be featured on her blog during Cupcake Friday.  You're welcome to create something other than a card, but just stick to the sketch as closely as possible and you'll be eligible for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors.  If you upload your sketch to Splitcoast, use keyword TECC73 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 73).  Leave a comment on Taylor's blog with a link to your blog or gallery upload so Taylor can check it out.  The deadline to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler is Friday June 26th at 8:00 am PST.

This week's Featured Cupcake Sampler is Rachel Sztonyk.  You can check out Rachel's sample on her blog, Gingerbread Gallery.  Congratulations, Rachel!

Verve Project Parade: It's a Guy Thing

Verve-Project-Parade-May_JP

Today is my turn on the Verve Project Parade!  The theme for this month's Project Parade is: "It's a Guy Thing: Celebrating the Men in Our Lives."  I chose to make an altered frame....keep in mind that I DON'T ALTER THINGS...at least not usually.  It is out of my comfortable card making zone, so I challenged myself to use this three tiered frame that I purchased at Michael's a few months ago.  It was an unfinished frame that had a really ugly ribbon holder!  LOL!  I painted it with white acrylic paint and got to work on each frame.  I'm pretty thrilled with the results...What do you think?

VPP-Pic-2_JP

This is the top frame.  I used two Verve sets here:  the just released Dad's Day and the classic Seeing Stars.  The stars were punched out with the small and large star punch (SU!).  The sentiment was punched out with the Wide Oval Punch (SU!).  The DP is Urban Oasis, also from SU!

VPP-Pic-3_JP

The middle frame holds a picture of my two girls, Lauren and Sarah.  I wanted a picture of my girls WITH my hubby, but none of them wanted to cooperate.  I dug a recent picture out of my stash instead!

VPP-Pic-4_JP

This is the third and final frame.  The word "DAD" comes from the newly released Verve set, Protector.  It was cut out with Curved Rectangle Nesties and before I removed it from the die, I sponged some Kiwi Kiss ink around the edges, working my way in.  I love the look of the white edge when you remove it from the die.  The dotted strips are from one of my fave Verve sets of all time, Father Figure.  Once the project was done I added some Kiwi Kiss Striped Grosgrain Ribbon for the hanger.  Not so hard after all!!

Remember, just for playing along with our theme, you'll have a chance to win a Verve stamp set of your choice! Just link your creation to the Mr. Linky form over on the THIS POST before 8 pm MT on Saturday, June 20. We've also hidden another $25 gift certificate somewhere along the parade for a random commenter. So be sure to check out each day of the parade, and leave lots of comments along the way! Have fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a fantastic Wednesday!

Prettie Red Black and White Wednesday

Prettie-Red-White-and-Black

Hi everyone!  Two weeks ago Frances challenged the Prettie Girls to a color challenge, to use red, black and white on our card.  Great challenge, Frances!

It had been awhile since I used Ballerina Sophia, so I thought I'd pull her out and get her inky.  She was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI White cs, colored in with Copic markers and framed with Nestabilities.  The DP is Real Red from the Stampin' Up! hostess pack.  The brads are American Crafts.  I added some Crystal Effects to her skirt and added a little pinch of Dazzling Diamonds to add some sparkle.  The sketch is this week's Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro.

Don't forget to check out what the other Prettie girls did with this challenge:

Prettie Monday!

Prettie-Monday-Love-You-Thi

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!  Well, it's the first official week of Summer Vacation and my stamping time is already suffering!!  YIKES!  I guess I will have to schedule time to stamp!

For today's Prettie Monday, I decided to use the new Canadian Sophia...She doesn't look Canadian, does she?  I actually masked the Canadian Flags that she holds in her hand and her sweater because I thought she would be so cute with this sentiment!  She was colored in with Copic Markers and framed in rectangle Nestabilities.  The "Love You" is from a SU! set called Short & Sweet and the "This Much" is from the Paper Pretties set, Love you Much.  The Love You Much set has a "LOVE YOU" stamp, but for some reason mine wasn't with my set...sigh...it's lost amongst the mess that is my craft area.  I'm sure it will turn up sometime!  The DP is Bitty Dot DP from Papertrey and I used the Wavy Border Punch on the white cardstock.

Well, that's it for today!  I hope your week is off to a good start!

TECC72 Happy Birthday Taylor!!

Edited to Add: It's my girls first day of summer vacation so we slept in (glorious) and I just got on my computer and for some reason my blog post didn't post on time....ARGHHH!!  It is set for the proper time but failed to post!!  Sorry!!!

TECC72-Happy-Birthday-Taylo

It's Friday again and this Friday's Cupcake Sketch is no ordinary sketch!!  Today we are celebrating Taylor's Birthday!!  Happy Birthday Taylor!!!  I hope your day is FANTASTIC!!

Isn't this a fun sketch?  I used Taylor's new set from the Whimsical Wishes line called For the Love of Cupcakes and paired it with these fun bright Citrus Stack papers from Die Cuts With a View.  The cupcake papers were paper pieced and the rest colored with Copic markers.  I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the cupcakes with a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen.  The ribbon is Papertrey's Summer Sunrise Twill and the cordouroy brads are from Stampin' Up!

TECC72 Now it's your turn to try the sketch. If you upload your sketch to Splitcoast, use keyword TECC72 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 72).  Leave a comment on Taylor's blog with a link to your blog or gallery upload so Taylor can check it out.  The deadline to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler is Friday June 20th at 8:00 am PST.

SC232 Birthday Balloon

SC232-Birthday-Balloon-Wish

After seeing yesterday's sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers, I knew I had to make time to play along!  I just loved the sketch and knew it would be perfect for the new Verve set, Up Up & Away.  After picking the kids up from school, I sat down and got inky!!

I stamped one of the balloons in Memento Black ink on PTI White and cut it out with the Curved Rectangle Nesties, but before removing it from the die, I sponged some Tempting Turquoise classic ink all around the edges stopping right before the actual image.  I love how this gives you a white edge.  The clouds were stamped, cut out with paper snips and popped up on dimensionals.  All of the DP is from the Citrus Stack from Die Cuts With a View.  I just love how all the patterns coordinate.  I used FIVE on this card!!  The brads were a gift from my friend Jodi (thanks, girl) and are made by American Crafts.  I wish I centered them a little better, they are a little too close to the edge, but I couldn't change it because the holes were already poked....sigh...  A little machine stitching from a Janome Sew Mini and I was done!  I love how bright and cheery this card is.

I also wanted to let you know that the Verve Project Parade is going on right now over on the Verve blog.  This month's theme is "It's a Guy Thing:  Celebrating the Men in Our Lives"  The Divas are a rockin' it so far, so don't forget to check it out!!  If you're familiar with Julee Tilman and her fab company, Verve, then you know there is a prize involved somehow!!  She is so generous that way!

Well, that's it for today!  I'll be back tomorrow with another awesome Friday Cupcake Sketch from Taylor!  Have a good one!

Prettie 3x3 Wednesday

Prettie-Wed-3-x-3-challenge

Hi everyone!  Two weeks ago Christi challenged the Prettie Girls to make a 3x3 card with buttons.  Easy Peasy with a button on top!  Thanks for going easy on us, Christi!

I used an image from Danielle's new set, Home Sweet Home.  I stamped it in Memento Black ink, colored it with Copics and framed it with Nestabilities.  The ribbon and button are both from Papertrey Ink.  Now that Kiwi Kiss is retiring, I'm really starting to like it....figures!!  LOL!

Don't forget to check out what the other Prettie's did with this challenge!  All of the links to their blogs are in my sidebar!

Have a great day!

Mojo90 You Amaze Me

MOJO-90-You-Amaze-Me_JP

Hi everyone!  I made this card for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #90.  I used three sets from Verve to make this card, the new Up, Up & Away with theWhimsy Tree Plain Jane (the bigger tree) and the small sentiment set called Uplifting Phrases.  I have a very hard time with "scene cards" but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!  The colors I used are White, Basic Gray and A Walk In The Park DSP from Stampin' Up!   All images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in with Copic markers.  The hot air balloon was paper pieced with the same DSP.  The sky was sponged with some Baja Breeze Classic ink.  I added some piercing and the sentiment and I was done!!

I hope you have a wonderful day!  Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Prettie Monday

Pretty-Liberty-Monday

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a nice weekend and your week is getting off to a nice start!  We had a sick child this weekend so our weekend plans were cancelled, but it was very nice to just stay home and relax!  Fingers crossed that when DD gets up she'll be able to go to school!  This is my girls last week of school and I'm looking forward to not rushing around in the morning, although all of "my time" will be gone for a couple months!!  LOL!

For today's Prettie post, I decided to ink up Lady Liberty Sophia.  I really love this image and decided to go with a Red, White and Blue theme because one of the sentiments with this set says "Happy 4th of July".  Well, once I got the card put together I really didn't have a good spot for the sentiment on the front of the card, so I added it to the inside.  The dp is the retired Western Sky dsp from Stampin' Up! as are the brads.  The ribbon is Fresh Snow Twill from Papertrey Ink.

Don't forget that you can keep up to date with everything Prettie by checking out The Paper Clip, Paper Pretties very own blog.  You'll find the Prettie Weekly Challenge, the Prettie card of the Week and other great stuff so don't forget to check it out!  It is updated by our very own Jodi Collins!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

 TECC71-Happy-Birthday-Cupca

It's Friday and it's time for another one of Taylor's Cupcake Sketches!  I LOVE this sketch!  I know I say that every week, but I really enjoyed this one!  This is also a peek at one of Taylor's new stamp sets, available today, called For the Love of Cupcakes, from her Whimsical Wishes line.  OMG!  This set is so cute and so fun to color!  I colored the cupcake and stand with Copic markers and added some Chocolate Sugar Coating Glitter to the frosting with a Sakura Quckie Glue Pen.  The DP is Parisian Breeze from SU! and the ribbon is from the Valet Ribbon Originals, also from SU!

CC221 True Friend

CC221-Kiss-The-Red-Tango_JP

Hi everyone!  On Tuesday I participated in the color challenge over at SCS.  The color combo was Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red and a neutral of your choice.  I pulled out a very loved but very neglected Stampin' Up! set called Simple Friendship.  I used the Rock 'n' Roll Technique on the butterfly by first stamping it in Tangerine Tango and then rolling the edges in Riding Hood Red.  I love the look of the two colors together!  The sketch is Jen del Muro's Sketch for You to Try from last Saturday.  The DP is Rockabilly from Stampin' Up!

Well, I hope you have a great Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!
